When shopping around I've noticed that many retail stores are bumping up their prices and lowering their quality. I was so excited when I came across SeeZenn by Designers Lisa and Tina. There are many places to get inspiration from and one place I go is this blog site, www.spankystokes.com. I love vinyl toys, they are just about the most awesome little things around. So many artists have participated in the vinyl toy scene and it has become very popular. Spankystokes is a great site to get to know about anything new in the vinyl toy industry. Also I love that their site is easy to search for anything. So maybe theres a wood toy that you were interested in, well they have a whole section dedicated to that. Many women have an obsession with shoes and I don't blame any of them. Women have an array of different shapes and styles of shoes to chose from. When building your wardrobe sometimes it is best to start from the bottom up. Your shoes can be the jewel of your outfit sometimes so you want to make sure your not distracting from them and that they compliment what your wearing. A trend for this spring and summer is the country look. Now I don't mean break out the cowboy boots, please put those things away, far far away. The look is light and colorful with prints that emulate the appearance of flowers as well as prints that are made of flowers. Don't think that country is just from the Southern part of the U.S, there are many other countrysides around the world. A really big trend going on right now is shear tops. Now ladies I didn't say mesh or crochet or netting. Instead use shear tops to stay cool but keep them classy. Because they are shear don't be afraid to have full length sleeves and play around with the top underneath. Keep it simple underneath to keep the look clean and sexy. You don't need a bunch of rhinestones or embellishment. Remember sense your going to be showing off your top try to keep the rest of your body covered. This site www.instructables.com is one of the most useful sites around. I have used this site numerous times! If you want to know how to sew a button, do electrical work, paint, just about anything, you can find a tutorial on how to do it on this site. It's wonderful because the tutorials are done by everyday people just like yourself! It's well worth it to sign up and be a member sense it doesn't cost much at all, only a few bucks US. Amazing right? Now go create, instruct others!
Military trends have come in and out of style so many times. We'll its in again, but this time its a bit more subtle. Military trends are wonderful when worn correctly and not in a costume sort of way. It is easy to make your outfit look like Rambo or G.I. Jane, lets try to be more aware this year. When looking for military inspired pieces chose those that are simple in color palette. Sage green is a common color that will be used. You don't want super vibrant greens, this will make you look like Kermit the frog. Look for the details in the pieces, like where the pockets are placed. The kinds of buttons that are used. Military pieces tend to be more geometric and have a stiffness to them, but as long as the section your body at the right points they are very powerful and...
So we all know spring and summer trends come out way earlier but I thought I would just refresh your memory in case your barely starting to do some shopping. The first trend is white, clean and simple. Keep your accessories to a minimum especially jewelery. White is very striking and in the summer if worn correctly can look wonderful. Its summer so remember to keep the material light weight, the color itself will keep you cooler than others but not if its a heavy wool. I've been addicted to the Contemporist website for a couple years now. It is an amazing source for for architects and interior designers to discover new products and projects in the world of contemporary design. I love it and I can hardly wait for the next thing they post every time. I love this site mainly because of the amount of images provided for each article. Lookbook.nu is a international social experiment website of everyday people all over the world that share a common interest, style. There's a few things that lookbook offers, its very simple. People post their looks then others "hype" it to make it get seen on the main web page. Its an awesome way to see how people dress around the world. I love all the different and creative ways people are expressing themselves with their looks and this website really focuses on that. I highly recommend everyone check this site out. I love it and check it out daily even though I subscribed via RSS lol. Can't have too much of a good thing right?

I've known about Etsy.com for awhile now and I finally decided I would set up a shop there! They have really great services for artists that are looking to sell their art to people who are genuine collectors. I really like their set up for the shops and that you get to post items for 4 months and its only 20cents per item! Can you say awesome?! I just had a long long day. I worked on a shoot with photographer Courtney Dailey, makeup artist Daniel Chinchilla, hair stylist Ruthie Quevedo and model Kiersten Brada! I did the styling and props of corse. Everyone was so amazing I and really enjoyed working with all these incredibly talented people. We did three different looks all beauty shots. Kiersten did an awesome job working her poses like the pro she is! Seriously, I was so impressed at this girls ability to give so much amazing face. Beautiful wonderful model, Kiersten has major talent. When I saw the awesome lighting Courtney set up I was just like wow wow wow. She really knows how to make everyones work stand out. Daniels makeup and Ruthie's hair looked sooooo good! I'm so excited and I can't wait to see the finished photos! All in all, an awesome day! www.markstratis.com
